Volcanic Ash and Vicky’s Spring Tour
Monday, April 19th, 2010
A medicine cat would be reading signs into the great cloud of ash and pumice that’s stopped all air flights to the UK this past week. Well, it would if it could see it. There’s actually no physical sign of it; in fact we’ve have the sunniest weekend of the year. Great blue skies and clear warm breezes. But it’s up there somewhere as these meteorological maps show. My brother is stuck in Bangkok, unable to fly home, and my neighbour’s son is stranded in Dubai. And the shops are running out of fresh mangoes.
I’ve been enjoying a quiet few weeks closer to home with Josh. But he’s back to school today and I’m back at work, but I thought I’d stop by to say hello before I started writing for the day.
Vicky’s been emailing me from her tour in the US (gosh, I hope the cloud has cleared by the time she’s ready to fly home!) She’s having great fun. She loves meeting fans because most of the time she’s stuck in her office thinking up brilliant plots so it’s wonderful to get out there and see so many happy smiley faces.
Here she is in Houston. I love her BIG smile!
