Hello BlogClan.
Domestic news for no particular reason:
Josh has spent the week in Scotland with his grandparents and I have completely redecorated my study. Josh is home and I  have a cold and, on my smart new desk, I am about to get on with my first Dawn of the Clans instalment – Book Three…The First Battle. Thrilling stuff. I am VERY excited (and not a little sneezy)

(Before you correct my  grammar in the post title, I am paying homage to the great Morecambe and Wise.)
I thought you’d enjoy some trivia and since I have finally finished writing Tallstar’s Revenge, here it is.

This is the very first book I wrote. Sadly, I don’t have a copy, so I don’t know how bad it is. But I thought it might amuse you.

My son is 15 today! I started writing Warriors books when he was 5. Gosh, he’s grown. Happy Birthday, Joshua. You are a wonderful son

…please shake his hand. He a very old friend and one of the nicest people I know He’s a great traveller and he’s currently visiting Taiwan. You’ll probably find him in a coffee shop or an internet cafe.

In the meantime, here are two photos of a birthday cake sent to me by the Madeline’s Dad. For Madeline’s birthday, her parent made her this cake. It is absolutely awesome! She is one lucky Warriors’ fan.

It’s my birthday next week. I wonder if I can persuade Josh to make me a cakey Graystripe? He made a fabulous dinner last night, but he’s never tried baking cake…

And so you can see the exquisite detail goes all the way round! This is truly a Cakestar-worthy cake!

Hello BlogClan! Some of you probably already know the good news, because I posted it on Facebook and Twitter last night.

MiuMiu is home!

I got a phone call yesterday evening from a lovely lady called Maggie who said she’d found MiuMiu. I could hardly believe it after so long. She works with an animal rescue organisation and has a garage full of strays cats. MiuMiu moved in with them, which is really strange; I’ve always thought that, outside Warriors, all cats hated all other cats; but clearly, when a cat’s lost and alone, he’d rather hang out with other cats than be a loner. Now I truly believe that, if MiuMiu had found a Clan, he’d have joined it.

Anyway, Maggie took a few days to realise that MiuMiu was a newcomer and when she did, she scanned him for a microchip. She didn’t find it the first time, but he was so purry and friendly that her husband decided he must be a much-loved cat and scanned him again. And this time they found his chip!

Happily I’d updated all the details for his microchip and she was able to phone me straight away.

So me and Josh hopped  in the car and drove the mile to her house to fetch him.

He is so pleased to be back with us. He’s been following me around ever since.

Flower’s a little unnerved. I think she’s forgotten she has a brother and is wondering why she recognises the new cat that’s invaded her house.

She’ll settle down soon and I am Very Happy to have my big old cat home
