Bloodline
I’ve been delighted to have so much correspondence from Bloodline fans. I’m glad so many readers are enjoying it. The question I am asked most often is:
Will there be a third Bloodline?
The answer: I’m not sure.I want to find out what happens to Mary and Quincey and John, (haven’t decided yet) and Bloodline is such enormous fun to write…but right now, Warriors takes most of my time (and my lovely family takes the rest.) Having so many lovely messages from fans certainly has encouraged me to think seriously about putting some time aside for Bloodline 3…will keep you posted!
BTW I’ve created an official Bloodline facebook fanpage. Do join. The more fans the more chance of a third book!

UPDATE 08/01/10 I just got a message from my editor. “Great news! Egmont has bought Bloodline and The Reckoning to publish in the UK! Paperback editions, probably autumn and winter (both this year, anyway). We’re sending them the storyline for Book Three so hopefully they’ll want that too.” Fingers crossed!

Oh crape, forgot to add..
I hope you write a third! The best series I’ve read in awhile and it’s genuinely inspiring
Thanks Emily, I’m always glad when Bloodline gains a fan!
Ok, first of all, I love your books, I read them in less than two days. I LOVE Lily! I cried when she died, and it pisses me every time John appears and tries to hurt Mary >=( I thought they would be a happy couple! >.< You should definitely write a third =D
Anyway, what I wanted to ask you is this, I'm writing a book, it's about vampires too =P and I have this awesome idea for a character, but the problem is that I wanted to use Lily's name, so I came to ask for your approval, can I use Lily Shaw's name for my book? She won't have anything to do with yours, she'll be different in a way, all I would be "copying" you would be the name. So, please let me know, hope you accept.
Love your books! Keep on being so awesome!
Good to hear from you Kristen. I’m glad you liked Lily. She was a fun character to write. I don’t own the copyright to Bloodline so I can’t give you permission to use any of the characters I’m afraid. If you want permission you’ll have to ask Working Partners Ltd, who own the copyright.
Best of luck with you writing
I LOVED the Bloodline series! I check like once a week to see if you’re going to write a third. I have to say, this series is so original and I’m so glad it didn’t drag along with all the popular vampire stories! I’m a Bloodline fan forever and I hope you decide to continue it on, because I will definitely be following along!
God bless
Yay! Thanks Maddie
Bloodline is still a wonderful book to read, and it is refreshing to read something other than twilight, new moon and the like. Your book tops them all and was one of my primary inspirations to start writing. Please, please write book 3!
Happy to hear it, Charlie. Fingers crossed for book 3
I rented Bloodline and Reckoning from the library a year ago, since I love Warriors. I absolutely loved Bloodline and Reckoning, even more then Warriors. I usually do not like YA vampire novels because I usually think they are shallow, but your two books are great. They are right up there with Anne Rice and John Ajvide Lindqvist. They are so addictive. After I read them I went right out and bought them both at my local bookstore. I also love the new cover for Bloodline, it is very nice. Anyway thanks so much for writing such great stories. I can’t wait until the third book gets published!
I am a very devoted fan of the Bloodline series, I read Bloodline for the first time about seven months ago and I have as recently as 2 hours ago finished The Reckoning (which I devoted the whole day to do nothing bit read). I have read the whole Twilight series and I am a fan, but I find Bloodline to be much more captivating and thrilling. I do so hope that there will be a third book, I am so in love with Captain Quincey Harker and Miss. Mary Seward. It would be a great disappointment to end the series with John Shaw at large and no resolution of what happens between Quincey and Mary.

I’ve read and finished the two books today, already aching for the third one.
Years of being a bookworm, I have never called myself a fan of any book, but I think that I’m willing to call myself a fan of Bloodline if it helps speed up the production of book three. I always love a great read. God bless!
Please write a third book. I love the first two and am dying to know what comes next. Your books have been an inspiration to me. Thank you. You write beautifully.
i loved bloodline and reckoning they are my 2 all time favorite books ive read them both more times than i can count i really hope there is a third i will be the first to buy it i love how the relationship between John and Mary changed your books are amazing please please write the 3rd
Hey Kate, I LOVE Bloodline and am anxiously waiting for a third like everyone else. Bloodline is so refreshing in a world of fluffy teen vampire romances. One of my favorite books ever. Anyhoo, I’m guessing there’s no news on Bloodline 3 (but if there is, do tell!). But I was wondering if you have any plans for other solo projects. I know Vicky keeps you busy with Warriors, but I would love it if you wrote more books under your own name. Not that I want you to stop writing Warriors (it’s my fav series), but you’re an amazingly talented writer and I would definitely encourage you to do some more independent writing.
i love bloodline once i started reading it i couldnt put it down. i really hope u rite the third one
i will be the 1st to buy the 3rd book!:) i will sleep outside books a million and be the 1st in and the 1st to buy it!:) (well idk about the sleepin outside part) but ya i pretty sure ill be one of the 1st to buy the 3rd!!:)
ur biggest fan right here kate,
katie m.
You won’t believe how loud I yelled, “YES!” & how horrible of a look my Nannie gave me. The first two were such a great read & I kept looking to see if there was a third, and was disappointed when I found there wasn’t. SO I’m indeed very happy.
Hey, Kate. I’m creating special cards for each of the cats in the warriors series and I’m trying to collect specific details for each cat. Therefore, I was wondering if u could possibly confirm the eye colors for Hazeltail, Longtail, and Mousewhisker and the pelt and eye colors for Hollykit, Larchkit, and Molepaw (Ferncloud and Dustpelt’s kits). Your help is greatly appreciated. I’ll be sure to post the cards after I’ve finished.
Have you looked on the Warriors wiki? – it’s pretty comprehensive

Hey,
Bloodline and Bloodline: Reckoning were some of the best vampire fiction I have ever read. I recieved the first book as a gift a few years back and was very sceptical about it thinking that it might just be another common vampire novel. However, once I started I didn’t stop till I went from cover to cover. Then I went out and bout the sequel. I have been anxiously hoping for a third novel and have read both books three times each. They are a wonderfully fun read. All I can say is thank you for writing them and I do hope you write a third novel..maybe even a fourth. =]
Sincerely,
Tyler Clayton
i have read and own bloodline: the reckoning and i fell in love with the book . I could not put down and i have read it more than once. I hope that you make a third book or maybe more.

school of fans (and the schools #1 fan)
Yay! Thanks K’la for leaving your message.
Keep spreading the word and one day, someone may publish the third book
kate,
i am really hoping you write the third bloodline soon, i read the first bloodline in 8th grade. I read it about 3 times before i read reckoning and later found myself unable to put it down. i love the twist and turns. it was the first and only novel i have found myself truely engaged in. Im really not a reader but your books are something else. i would truely be delighted to find out when the release of the third book is dated.
sincerly, jacob
B.
